by Amy Carmichael
Thou hast not that, my child, but thou hast Me
And am not I alone enough for thee
I know it all, know how thy heart was set
Upon this joy which is not given yet…
I know it all; but from thy brier shall blow
A rose for others. If it were not so
I would have told thee, come, then say to me:
“My Lord, my Love, I am content with Thee”
(I first heard these words from a CD my brother gave me for my birthday)

I love Amy Carmichael! What a great example of someone who has completely surrendered their desires to Jesus Christ.
May I also say... "My Lord [Jesus], I am content with Thee."
ahem...and sister in law!!! :-)
I just listened to the message from Covenant Life on finding satisfaction in Jesus alone..wow, exactly what i needed to hear..thanks!
I am so grateful for all of the wonderful teaching in Sovereign Grace...If you get an opportunity, you should check out Sovereign Grace church of chesapeake....some good teachings there too...sgconline.org
